Why Chronic Mumma?
About Me
I am not sure how to start this, without sounding awkward. ‘Hi, i’m Amy and i am chronically ill’.
As we get to know each other, you will realise i cover up my pain with humor. this is because at almost 30, i should feel like i am in the prime of my life. yet i spend most days having nanna naps and taking meds. sometimes, i have an exciting day out.. to the doctors, or hospital.
I live with my 6 year old daughter, who loves all things Lego, Superheros and WWE. We also live with my partner of 8 years , who loves all things Lego, Superheros and WWE.

why Chronic Mumma?

my name is self explanatory. I am a mum, with chronic health conditions. i can also be slightly ironic, with a ‘sICK’ sense of humor.
In all (well some) seriousness, I will be writing these blog posts as an outlet; to release the mental burden my poor health has put on me and to begin to accept the ‘new’ me (the eternally ill one) .
Whilst this is mainly my outlet, i hope that if anyone reads this, it can also be relatable, or informative in raising awareness of life with chronic illness and hopefully break stigmas.
The Dreaded ‘H’ Word.. (health)

During this journey, i will probably write specifically about my poor health and the 10 medical conditions I have. these range from auto immune diseases, genetic conditions, Dysautonomia disorders etc.
So advanced warning, this blog may not be for you. It will contain the following:
- TMI,
- Brutal honesty,
- making light out of tough situations
But, if you’re brave enough, I would love to share this journey with you!
